The US Collegiate Archery Association is pleased to announce that the USIAC selection task force has
recommended Southern Utah University (SUU) to host the 2013 USIAC. Clubs in the West and South
region also had the opportunity to bid on the 2014 USIAC, which SUU submitted to host as well.

SUU is located in the southern part of Utah in Cedar City. The university has hosted the Utah Summer
Games for many years. The entire community is supportive of the event being held in Utah for two
years, including the Chamber of Commerce, the Lion's Club, and the SUU athletic department. The
organizing committee has extensive experience with tournaments, including previous experience
with the World Archery Festival, the Huntsman Senior Games, and national level events for other
archery organizations. Executive Director Lorretta Sinclair stated, "The support offered not only by the
University and the SUU Archery Club, but the entire community provides that the 2013 and 2014 USIAC
will be great events with volunteers who have many years of experience conducting large national
competitions."

One of the selection criteria was appropriate space to host the anticipated 325-350 collegiate archers.
With the 43% increase in participation between 2010-2012, SUU is able to support the competition for
all USCAA classes of archers, Bow Hunter, Basic Bow, Compound and Recurve.

Tournament Committee member Joan Eliason commented, "The SUU Archery Club and the Cedar City
community welcome all USCAA members to this prestigious event and we look forward to hosting one
of the finest tournaments in the sport of archery."
