USCA US Intercollegiate Archery Championship a great Success The US Collegiate Archery Association held its annual US Intercollegiate Archery Championship (USIAC) 17-20 May. Clubs from colleges and universities from across the U.S. travelled for the second year in a row to JMU for the prestigious national championship. Nearly fifty clubs had vied for titles, honors, and awards over the weekend. The USCA set a record with nearly 300 archers participating in the tournament. USCA has successfully grown the participation at USIAC by 43% in two years. The overall participation of the tournament has grown by 89% since 2007, (295 registrations vs 152). "USCA is one of the most successful grassroots archery programs in the United States,' said Executive Director Lorretta Sinclair. Sinclair's efforts to provide opportunity to all college students who want to learn the sport, or transition from a youth program has been instrumental in the truly magnificent growth of the sport in colleges and universities. Mrs. Sinclair stated, "The Easton Foundations has fully supported USCA and our mission and vision to grow the sport as an inclusive organization. This support has helped provide opportunities not only to archers who graduate from youth programs but to also introduce the sport across the country and provide important competition opportunities.' It is with great pride that USCA announces the National Champions and awardees for the individual elimination matches. Individual Elimination Matches
