Draft Bylaws: Open Comment Period for Clubs

DRAFT Bylaws -US Collegiate Archery Association

Open Comment Period for USCA Clubs

28 January to midnight 11 February 2010

The Executive Council was advised by legal counsel to update the bylaws. The bylaws were updated using the existing handbook as a basis.  The new bylaws remove ambiguities, inconsistencies, and other abnormalities that were not in keeping with effective bylaws for an organization.  They also clarify the membership roles and responsibilities and outline the organizational structure.

Please send your comments to feedback@uscollegiatearchery.org.  Make sure that your comments are courteous and clearly stated.  The Executive Council will review all comments.

The USCA website is the Official source for information and news. After the comment period closes and changes are incorporated, a final draft will be voted on by the USCA Board of Directors.  The final bylaws will be posted on the website.

The draft bylaws were also sent to all clubs that have provided a general email address. If your club has not yet set up a General email address, ending in .edu (for example, "stanfordarchers@stanford.edu") please do so and send the information to Lorretta Sinclair. If your school does not provide a .edu account, then set up a general account ending in gmail, yahoo etc that is accessible to officers, club members, coaches, advisors and other individuals that your club desires to receive USCA communications.

Please ensure the draft bylaws are provided to any members of your club that might be interested in commenting – including Team captains, club members, coaches, and advisors.
