Camp Caribou - Looking for Passionate and Enthusiastic Archery Instructors

Camp Caribou is a boys residential summer camp located in Winslow, Maine.  Currently, we are looking for archery instructors for the upcoming summer.   The dates are 6/16/14 - 8/18/14.

Program Head of Archery

Join us on stunning Mount Desert Island (Bar Harbor)! We are an outdoor education day camp with 50 acres of woods and waterfront bordering Acadia National Park. Camp Beech Cliff welcomes qualified applicants for the Program Head of Archery. This instructor will run a range that puts safety first, plan creative activities to teach campers range protocols and basic shooting techniques, and help every camper enjoy and participate in archery. All staff must adhere to the health and safety laws set forth by the State of Maine Dept of Human Services Youth Camps Division, and standards for accreditation with the American Camping Association.

Requirements – At least 20 years of age, and one year’s experience leading archery with children. Must enjoy working with children of all backgrounds, and be passionate about working outdoors and engaging campers ages 6 – 15. Must have the ability to teach fun activities and advancement in skill throughout the summer.

Preferred Qualifications – Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of direct experience teaching archery to kids. Level I Instructor certification from National Field Archery Association (we will train). If no degree, equivalent work experience preferred.

Mid-June through August 23rd. Salary depends on level of experience and relevant certifications ($400 - $500 per week). Possible housing available. For more information, visit or contact Camp Director Sylvie Piquet:

Camp Pontiac

Camp Pontiac is a premier co-ed overnight camp located in New York State.
We are situated in the foothills of the Berkshire mountains midway between
New York City and Boston. The camp accommodates approximately 250 boys and
250 girls, ranging in age from 7 to 16. We run a seven week program each
summer for our campers. Our staff is with us for a period of eight weeks
as we run a week long orientation prior to the arrival of the children. We
offer a wonderful social environment as well as a competitive salary. We

Tripp Lake Camp

Tripp Lake Camp is a traditional, residential summer camp for girls ages 7 to 16. Located in Poland, Maine,we are currently hiring for Archery counselors. Instructors must be able to assist beginning to advanced campers. At Tripp Lake, campers strive to hit their first bulls eye and continually work towards American Archer. We do hire male and female staff.

Camp Micah

Camp Micah is a traditional, coed, overnight summer camp located in Bridgton, Maine.  We are currently hiring for the upcoming summer and are looking for a Director of Archery.   In addition to teaching or assisting with a specific activity staff at Micah also serve as cabin counselors, living in a bunk with 8-9 campers and 1-2 additional staff.

Camp Walt Whitman

Camp Walt Whitman, a traditional children's summer camp located in NH, is seeking an archery instructor for this summer!

Located in the beautiful White Mountains, Camp Walt Whitman offers campers between the ages of 7 and 15 excellent archery instruction.  

We are seeking instructors with experience running a safe range an. Responsibilities include creating age and skill appropriate lesson plans, supervision of instruction during activity periods, and participation in all camp events. 

The archery instructor will work directly with the Athletic Director who will assist with curriculum and program development. Campers attend archery class on a regular basis, allowing for a comprehensive instructional curriculum. 

Days off can be spent in Boston, Montreal, Burlington, the Maine Seacoast, etc.

Stipend includes Salary, Travel Allowance, and Room and Board.

Position Runs: June 9, 2013- August 10, 2013
