Two $500 collegiate scholarships for academic purposes will be awarded in 2007. To be considered for the college scholarship student athletes must:
- be a member of USA Archery
- belong to an USA Archery recognized collegiate division club
- be a full-time student. Full-time, in this case, means 12 or more units both semesters for spring and fall 2007, or all quarters for the same academic year or meeting your institutions requirements for both semesters/all qtrs. Proof of full-time status and gpa of 2.5 is required.
- Write a paper that includes the following:
- Why you participate in archery
- how long you have been involved in the sport
- how receiving this scholarship would benefit you
- Why is sportsmanship important in archery?
- Include 2 photos of yourself to be used on the website
- Complete the coversheet
Other info for the college scholarships:
- There are no required tournaments or events to attend to be considered.
- All skill levels are encouraged to apply
- These scholarships are open to both recurve and compound athletes
